David Moose received a B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and an M.F.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.  His paintings have been shown throughout the country, including juried exhibitions at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Cultural Center.

David Illustrated the children's book A Soup Opera, which won a NOTABLE award from the American Library Association.

David has been awarded grants from the Illinois Arts council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
